Kandis Village is located in Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This village has implemented a modern rice cultivation system. However, this village does not yet have an Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Service Unit (UPJA). This study aims to formulate a "Strategy for Establishment and Empowerment of UPJA to Support the Optimization of Swamp Land (OPLA) in Kandis Village". The research methods used include Gap Analysis, Literature Study, SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), as well as surveys with questionnaires and in-depth interviews with experts, heads of Farmer Groups (Poktan), and farmers. The results of the study showed that the strategy for establishment and empowerment of UPJA in Kandis Village was carried out through the utilization of Poktan and Farmer Group Associations (Gapoktan), optimization of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery (Alsintan), and training for farmers. Empowerment of UPJA includes strengthening the organization, providing infrastructure, and financial support to improve farmer welfare and agricultural productivity. In addition, monitoring, periodic evaluation, and effective coordination are needed for this strategy to run according to its objectives.
