This research aims to describe the denotative and connotative meaning of Nadin Amizah's song lyrics in the Happy Birthday album and explain the implications of the research results for Indonesian language learning. The research design used is qualitative and the type of approach is descriptive. The research method used in this research is semantics. The data source in this research is the Happy Birthday album by Nadin Amizah and the data is in the form of words or phrases in the song lyrics. The data collection techniques used were listening, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out using descriptive analysis. The research results showed that there were 46 data that had denotative and connotative meaning. From this data, there are 22 data with positive connotations, while 24 data have negative connotations. The implications of the results of this research can be used in learning Indonesian at the high school level. The results of this research can introduce students to denotative and connotative meanings in the context of popular culture such as music or current songs as teaching materials, especially in poetry learning.
