Entering the rapidly developing digital era, especially Instagram, which affects mental health. This study aims to determine the influence of Instagram social media on the mental health of students at SMK Negeri 2 Pagaralam. This study uses a quantitative approach with a regression method. Data was collected using a Likert scale. The population and sample in this study consisted of 76 respondents using simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Pearson product-moment correlation formula. The results of the data analysis indicate that Instagram has a significant influence on the mental health of students at SMK Negeri 2 Pagaralam. Based on the results of the simple linear regression analysis, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.816 were obtained, meaning that the variable of Instagram social media usage contributes 81.6% to the mental health of students, while the remaining 18.4% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study. Therefore, a determination test was conducted to determine the extent to which variable X influences variable Y, which was found to be 0.939. Thus, the relationship between Instagram social media and mental health shows that the two variables move in the same direction: an increase in Instagram social media use is followed by an improvement in mental health. This study is expected to serve as a reference in the field of education, particularly in guidance and counseling.
