This study conducted a comparative analysis of production costs and income of rice farmers in Karang Agung Village, Jejawi District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, focusing on those who use tractors and combine harvesters compared to those who do not. The study aims to identify the economic implications of mechanization in rice farming, especially in terms of labor efficiency and overall productivity. Data were collected in October 2023, targeting conventional farmers in the area, many of whom have adopted modern agricultural tools. The findings show significant differences in production costs and income levels, influenced by the use of mechanized equipment. The study also explores factors affecting rice production, including labor use and fertilization practices, highlighting the challenges faced by farmers in optimizing their yields. Ultimately, this study contributes to understanding the economic feasibility of mechanized farming in improving agricultural productivity in the region.
