The Movie "Dua Garis Biru" is one of the Indonesian films that raises the social problems of adolescents. In addition, this film also conveys a message about how the form of communication patterns applied by parents to their children. The purpose of this research is to describe the representation of democratic communication patterns in the film “Dua Garis Biru” by Ginatri S. Noer. This research data obtained from observation, documentation and literature studies with qualitative research methods. This study uses the semiotics theory of Charles Sanders Peirce. The results of this study showed that there are some scenes in the film “Dua Garis Biru” found signs of democratic communication patterns. First, Bima parents apply a pattern of democratic communication seen from their parents being responsive to their children, the attitude of parental acceptance and balanced control, encouraging their children to express a statement or a request, and their parents also provide an explanation to their children about the impact of good and bad deeds. In addition, every family decision-making is always carried out deliberation and there is no dominant family member. Second, Dara's parents also apply democratic communication patterns, democratic communication patterns also occur in Dara's family as both parents are responsive to their children and encourage their children to express a question or request.
