KEBUTUHAN AIR TANAMAN PAKCOY (BRASSICA RAPA L.) PADA SISTEM RAKIT APUNG PIPA PVC DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN GALON PLASTIK
Water requirement is an important factor that affects the quality and quantity of pak choi crop yields. This study was conducted to determine the optimal water requirement for pak choi plants in a PVC pipe floating raft system utilizing plastic gallons. The method used in this research was the field observation method with descriptive data presentation in the form of graphs. This research was conducted from February 2025 to April 2025 at the Soil Science Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture. The predicted evapotranspiration (ETo) of pak choi plants averaged 2.51 mm/day. Plant water requirement increases along with plant development, namely 1.30 mm/day in the early phase, 1.88 mm/day in the middle phase, and 2.73 mm/day in the late phase, with plant coefficients of 0.34; 0.49; and 0.71, respectively. The highest water use efficiency (EPA) in sample B2 was 6.72 g/mm and the lowest water use efficiency (EPA) in sample B3 was 0.40 g/mm. The growing environment with an average temperature of 30.59°C, humidity of 67.08%, and light intensity of 31,758 LUX during the planting period is in conditions that support optimal growth.
