This research discusses the technical efficiency of the plastic goods industry for packaging in Indonesia, with the variables used being capital, labor, and output. The data used in this study consists of secondary data in the form of time series from 2010 to 2024. The method used in this research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a stochastic frontier approach. The results indicate that the plastic goods industry for packaging in Indonesia is technically inefficient with an average of 0.69013089. Based on the obtained stochastic frontier estimates, the capital variable has a negative relationship with the output variable, while the labor variable has a positive relationship with the output variable. The occurrence of technical inefficiency is caused by the use of inputs not being optimal, resulting in suboptimal output.
