Aglonema (Aglaonema sp.) is one of the leaf ornamental plants that is quite much in demand by the public because it has a unique and attractive leaf color. This research aims to determine the use of Malang sand as a planting medium for the cultivation of aglonema variety Lady Gaga. This research was conducted in a house yard located at Jalan Karya Jaya 2, Lebung Gajah Village, Sematang Borang District, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. This research was conducted from July to September 2023. This research used the Randomized Group Design (RAK) method consisting of 3 treatments with 3 repetitions. Each treatment contained 3 plants. The treatments used in this study consisted of planting media treatment of Malang sand (control), planting media of Malang sand and rice husk 1:1, and planting media of Malang sand and rice husk 1:2. Data obtained from this study were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Varience (ANOVA). Furthermore, to see the difference between treatments, further tests were carried out using the least significant difference (BNT) test method at the 5% test level. The results showed that the use of different planting media on Aglonema Lady Gaga gave the best effect on the treatment of Malang sand and rice husk planting media 1: 1 (M1.1) on the parameters of the number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, stalk length, and stalk diameter and gave the best results on visual color grade assement.
