ANALISIS KETEGANGAN PERAN BURUH TANI PEREMPUAN KELAPA SAWIT DI DESA KEPAYANG KECAMATAN BAYUNG LENCIR KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN (PERSPEKTIF ROLE STRAIN THEORY WILLIAM J GOODE)
Role strain is something that a person experiences when he is carrying out several roles (multiple roles) at the same time, but he has difficulty fulfilling these roles, as explained by William J Goode in his book A Theory of Role Strain in 1993. The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of role strain experienced by female farm labourers and to determine the factors that cause role strain experienced by female oil palm farm labourers in Kepayang Village, Bayung Lencir Sub-district, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The method in this research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the forms of role strain experienced by female farm labourers in Kepayang Village are firstly emotional, where female farm labourers often experience excessive emotionality towards things that disturb their mood and secondly anxiety, where when they work away from home, many things become a burden on their minds. The factors that cause the role strain they experience are economic factors, where it is difficult to earn money in the countryside and the small salary of a farm labourer and social factors, where the surrounding environment has high expectations of them.
