HUBUNGAN PAPARAN KOREAN WAVE DAN MINAT MAKAN MAKANAN KOREA TERHADAP POLA KONSUMSI MAKANAN KOREA PADA SISWI SMA N 3 KOTA PALEMBANG
Adolescence is a time when a person can be easily influenced by trends and new things that are developing. Changes in adolescence can have an impact on health problems, such as changes in food consumption patterns that tend to be unhealthy. The exposure to Korean wave either through K-pop, K-drama or mukbang content make teenagers more interested for trying Korean food. This study aims to determine the correlation between Korean wave exposure and interest in eating on Korean food consumption patterns among female students of SMA N 3 Palembang. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional study design with sampling techniques in the form of stratified random sampling. The samples in this study were high school students aged 15-17 years at SMA N 3 Palembang as many as 90 samples. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The result of univariate analysis showed that 66,67% of high school students were exposed to Korean wave and 56,7% having an interest in eating Korean food. The results of bivariate analysis showed a correlation between Korean wave exposure (p-value = 0,002) and interest in eating Korean food (p- value = 0,000) towards Korean food consumption patterns among female students of SMA N 3 Palembang. Suggestion for respondents in this study are expected to pay attention to the consumption patterns of Korean food consumed, especially Korean foods that contain high calories, sodium and fat.
