HUBUNGAN BURNOUT AKADEMIK DENGAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 INDRALAYA
Academic burnout is a condition often experienced by students during the learning process at school, which can trigger academic procrastination behavior. This study aims to analyze the relationship between academic burnout and academic procrastination in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. The method used in this study is quantitative with a correlational design. The study population consisted of 300 students, with a sample of 171 students taken from 9 classes using proportional techniques. The instruments used for this study were academic burnout scale and academic procrastination scale distributed through Google Form. The results of the analysis showed that most students experienced academic burnout in the moderate category with a percentage of 37%, while academic procrastination was also in the moderate category with a percentage of 38%. The correlation coefficient obtained is -0.521, which indicates a negative or opposite relationship between academic burnout and academic procrastination in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This means that the higher the level of academic burnout, the lower the level of academic procrastination, and vice versa. Based on this research, it is expected that schools and teachers can use it as a guideline to overcome problems related to academic burnout and academic procrastination, as well as create a more positive and productive learning environment.
