This study examines the concept of flats (rusunami) with a behavioral architecture approach in the city of Palembang to overcome the problem of density and slums in the middle of the city of Palembang. The application of this approach in design produces the concept of a high-rise flat that is efficient and environmentally friendly, consisting of four building masses designed to provide various types of residential units, thus allowing for adaptive room arrangements to the behavior of the community and the diverse needs of residents. This design aims to create a space that is responsive to the dynamics of community life, so as to improve the quality of life and reduce the negative impacts of urban density that often causes slums.
