ASSESSMENT AIR POLLUTION TOLERANCE INDEX (APTI) TANAMAN LIDAH MERTUA (Sansevieria trifasciata Hort. ex Prain var. Laurentii) DALAM FITOREMEDIASI POLUTAN UDARA
The transportation and industrial sectors are major contributors to the increase in air pollution such as PM2.5, PM10, nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), and sulfur oxides (SOx). Exposure to high intensity air pollution has a significant impact on the Environment and Health. Strategic steps that can be taken in an effort to reduce the harmful impacts caused can be done through a phytoremediation approach utilizing potential plants that have the ability to reduce pollutants. Sansevieria trifasciata var. Laurentii is a type of plant that has the potential to reduce pollutants and absorb harmful elements in the air. This study was conducted to evaluate the tolerance of Sansevieria to exposure to air pollutants through the Assessment Air Pollution Tolerance Index (APTI) which refers to leaf biochemical parameters, including chlorophyll content, pH, ascorbic acid content, and relative leaf water content.
