The potential of natural resource rice demonstrates the superiority of rice farming in Solok City. However, this advantage faces its own challenges in the current era of globalization. The influence of globalization can lead to the erosion of local cultural diversity, where communities may become less understanding of traditional agricultural practices in producing Bareh Solok rice. The lack of containers to accommodate and preserve the potential of local culture becomes an urgency in the need for a Museum in Solok City. The Solok City rice recreation and education museum become a building that reflects Solok City as the Rice City icon. This museum serves as an educational facility for the community, enabling them to learn everything from history, transportation, technology, and equipment, to rice granaries, as well as how rice is processed from planting to the resulting processed products made from rice.
