PERBANYAKAN TANAMAN NANAS (Ananas comosus L. Merr.) MENGGUNAKAN TUNAS MAHKOTA YANG DIBELAH EMPAT dan PENAMBAHAN HORMON AKAR
The study aims to study the propagation of pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr.) plants using four-split crown shoots and the addition of root hormones. The study was conducted at the Seed Technology Laboratory of Sriwijaya University. The study was conducted in April - July 2022. The study used a randomized block design, namely P1 = Intact shoots without hormones (control), P2 = Shoots + Active Hormone Rootone F, P3 = Shoots + Shallot Hormone (30 grams), P4 = Split shoots (control). The parameters observed included the time of root bud emergence, average root length, number of roots per shoot, root diameter per shoot, fresh weight of roots per shoot, air-dry weight of roots per shoot. Based on the results analysis of variety using the STAR (Statistical Tool for Agricultural Research) software, it showed that the treatment with the addition of shallot hormones had a significant effect on the variables of the number of roots, root length, fresh weight and the control treatment had no significant effect on the time of shoot growth and root diameter. Keywords: Pineapple, plant propagation, hormones.
