Four districts that are still the focus of stunting in Ogan Ilir Regency include Tanjung Batu and Pemulutan Districts. Drinking water sources, toddler age, maternal toilets, and maternal handwashing habits using soap play a role in the occurrence of stunting, although there are still households lacking protected drinking water sources, inadequate toilets, and mothers who have not implemented safe hygiene practices. This study aims to determine the relationship between water, hygiene, and sanitation with the occurrence of stunting. The research design is cross-sectional with secondary data from the Field Learning Experience (PBL) 2023, collected using multistage random sampling in 2 districts comprising a total of 30 villages. The population in this study is all households with children aged 0-59 months. The sample of this study is toddlers aged 0-59 months totaling 1197 toddlers. The analysis in this study includes univariate analysis, bivariate analysis to observe relationships, and multivariate analysis using Multiple Logistic Regression Prediction model to determine the most associated variables. The research results obtained that 21.21% of toddlers experience stunting. About 34.7% of households with unprotected drinking water sources have toddlers experiencing stunting. Unprotected drinking water sources statistically play a role in the occurrence of stunting in toddlers (p-value = 0.024; PR = 2.026) after controlling for toddler age, maternal toilets, and pre-cooking food handling practices. Each household needs protected drinking water sources for optimal toddler growth and development, adequate sanitation facilities, and supported by handwashing habits using soap to minimize infectious diseases. Keywords: water, toddler, hygiene, sanitation, stunting.
