This study aims to determine the role of friendship quality on shyness among adolescents whose parents are divorced. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a role for friendship quality on shyness. The population in this study were adolescents whose parents have divorced within the last four years. The number of samples in this study consisted of 152 adolescents with 30 adolescents for try out. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used to measure shyness variable is a shyness scale based on the components proposed by Jones and Russel (1982). Friendship quality variables are measured using a friendship quality scale compiled with reference to aspects of friendship quality proposed by Mendelson and Aboud (1999). Data analysis in this study used simple regression technique. The result of the simple regression analysis between friendship quality and shyness showed that the R square value is 0,027, the F value is 4,089, and the significance value is 0,045 (p
