PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN PASAR 10 ULU PALEMBANG DI KAWASAN BERSEJARAH
Pasar 10 Ulu in Palembang City is a vital traditional trading center for the local community and holds potential as a tourist destination due to its strategic location. It boasts a view of the Ampera Bridge and is in close proximity to two historical areas, the Chandra Nadi Temple and the Arab Village of Sungai Lumpur. This market is renowned for its culinary offerings, particularly pempek and other local delicacies. The Pasar 10 Ulu building consists of two floors, with the first floor serving as market stalls and the second floor housing management offices. However, its condition is suboptimal due to lack of maintenance, resulting in many vacant stalls due to improper zoning of merchandise. The disorderly waste storage also detracts from the comfort of shoppers. This redesign aims to address the building's issues while maximizing the tourism potential of the surrounding historical areas. The Pasar 10 Ulu area will not only function as a typical market but also serve as a culinary hub supporting tourism potential, while also acting as a connecting function between the Chandra Nadi Temple and the Arab Village of Sungai Lumpur.
