The study aims to determine the performance of the subsurface porous irrigation system based on the amount of water discharge and hydraulic conductivity and to analyze the effect of various planting media on the growth of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L.) which was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University on December 2, 2024 - February 9, 2025. The method used is descriptive with data presentation in the form of graphs and tables, including air temperature and humidity, water discharge, water content, soil hydraulic conductivity, water efficiency, water production, bulk density, and porosity, as well as plant growth results (height, number of leaves, number of fruits, and fruit weight). The results of the study showed that the temperature of the greenhouse in the tenth week got the highest value, namely the temperature inside 32.0 oC and the temperature inside 31 oC, while the highest value of the greenhouse humidity measurement was in the fifth week at 80%, the highest results of soil water content measurements were obtained in sample M2 (ultisol and cocopeat soil) which was 92.03%, the results of water discharge measurements using 2 minutes were more efficient for tomato plant growth, the results of measuring the hydraulic conductivity of soil samples M1 (ultisol and rice husk charcoal soil) and sample M2 (ultisol and cocopeat soil) from both methods, namely the constant head and falling head methods, gave the results of hydraulic conductivity rates with the same category, namely the rather slow category, the results of measuring the efficiency of water use and water productivity, the highest values were obtained in sample Q1N2M2, namely 90.71% and 16.53 kg / m3, respectively, the average results of tomato plant productivity, plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, and fruit weight were obtained in sample Q1N2M2.
