PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN SEKOLAH FILIAL ANAK JALANAN DAN ANAK PUTUS SEKOLAH DI KOTA PALEMBANG
A Filial School is a formal educational facility based on satellite classes, located away from the main school, designed for street children and school dropouts from elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels. The activities supported by this institution include teaching and learning, vocational training, and residential activities such as resting and sleeping. The primary challenge in the design process lies in how to plan and design the Filial School using a Behavioral Architecture approach. In its application, this approach considers the spatial needs of children, categorized into anthropometrics, which addresses the body size of children and the application of appropriate furniture design; proxemics, which regulates spatial distances for social interactions; privacy, which is achieved through the use of brick and roster materials to prevent children's activities from being visible from the outside; and territoriality, which defines and organizes activity zones within the building. The application of these concepts includes providing various areas that support children's activities, such as communal areas, small stages, play areas, sports fields, and skill development rooms.
