ANALISIS PERKEMBANGAN FINTECH PAYMENT DAN FINTECH LENDING DALAM MEMPENGARUHI PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI NEGARA BERKEMBANG
This study aims to investigate the development of fintech payment and fintech lending with economic growth in developing countries such as Indonesia, China, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Brazil, and Nigeria using the panel data regression method with Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The secondary data used in this study were obtained from reports, publications and statistics provided by the World Bank and Statista. By using annual data for the period 2017–2022. The results of this study reveal that fintech payment and fintech lending are positively and significantly correlated with economic growth in eight developing countries. The difficulty people and businesses in accessing traditional financial services is a determining factor in fintech's ability to accelerate its development in developing countries. In addition, governments in developing countries need to strengthen and develop regulations governing these two fintech sectors, should be oriented to learn from countries with large fintech sectors, such as China, which highly prioritizes the preparation of an all-encompassing regulatory framework and specific supervision for its fintech sector.
