The increasing demand for electricity is growing rapidly, necessitating even larger supplies. Therefore, new efforts are needed to obtain energy sources to meet this demand. In areas that are difficult to reach by the PLN distribution network, it would be better to use renewable energy power plants, such as solar power plants (PLTS) or wind power plants (PLTB). This research aims to analyze the performance of vertical axis wind turbines, namely Savonius and axis wind turbines, each with 3 blades. Voltage, current, and wind speed measurements are monitored through IoT. The measured data is used to calculate the output power of each turbine. The research results show the highest input power value under unloaded conditions for the Savonius vertical axis wind turbine at 16.73 watts at a wind speed of 4m/s, while for the axis wind turbine it is 20.32 watts at a wind speed of 3.8 m/s. Meanwhile, under loaded conditions, the output power values obtained for the Savonius vertical axis wind turbine are 14.98 watts at a wind speed of 4 m/s and for the vertical axis turbine it is 12.01 watts at a wind speed of 3.8 m/s. From the above research results, it is analyzed and concluded that wind speed greatly influences the input and output power values produced by both types of wind turbines. The use of Blynk and IoT monitoring devices greatly facilitates monitoring and data collection when turbines are applied in open environments.
