PENGARUH TECHNOSTRESS TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DI SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KOTA PALEMBANG
This study aims to examine the influence of technostress consisting of five dimensions: techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity, and techno-uncertainty on job performance by observing three dimensions: task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behavior partially and controlled by individual differences as control variables (gender, age, education, self-confidence and experience using information communication technology (ICT)). Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected using a validated questionnaire with a cross-sectional study design. Multiple linear regression was applied as a data analysis technique. The study sample included 104 civil servant employees. The result found that technostress had a negative effect on job performance (t-value = -2,272 > ttable -1,983; P = 0,025) with a correlation value of -0,229 (P = 0,023) when controlled by control variables. In the multiple linear regression equation model, gender does not significantly influence job performance (β = 0,467; P = 0,697); age has negative and significant effect on job performance (β = −1,437; P = 0,003); job performance positively and significant influenced by education level (β = 2,548; P < 0,001) and experience using ICT (β = 2,689; P = 0,001); and experience using ICT has positive but not significant effect on job performance (β = 0,232; P = 0,831).
