This research aims to prove the effect of implementing the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model on the Independence of Class XI MIPA Students in Economics Subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Buay Sandang Aji. The population in this study was all class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Buay Sandang Aji and the sample in this study was all class XI MIPA students, totaling 35 students. The sampling technique uses Cluster Random Sampling. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and observation. The questionnaire data analysis technique was obtained from questionnaires given to students before and after being treated with the jigsaw type cooperative learning model, and observational data analysis was obtained from the results of observations when implementing the jigsaw type cooperative learning model. The hypothesis uses parametric statistics, namely the related sample t-test, obtained t_count < t_table, namely -48.3554 < -1.995, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on the learning independence of class XI MIPA students in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Buay Sandang Aji.
