ANALISIS PEMILIHAN MODA TRANSPORTASI UMUM ANTARA KERETA API DAN BUS MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Cold-formed steel is a material that is starting to be widely used as structural elements such as beams and columns. The use of cold-formed steel as a structural element requires a connecting medium, one of which is a gusset plate. Meanwhile, the types of gusset plates that can be used as connections are haunched and rectangular gusset plates. In this research, tests were carried out to compare the performance of beam-to-column connections using rectangular type gusset plates with a plate length of 600 mm which will be compared with the performance of connections using haunched type gusset plates with a plate length of 600 mm. After comparing the performance between different types of gusset plates, tests will be carried out to compare the performance of the gusset plate connection type with different length variations, namely 550 mm and 650 mm. The differences in type and size of gusset plates used as beam-to-column connections affect the maximum load value that the structure can achieve, as well as the displacement value achieved. The analysis was carried out using the finite element method with the help of the ANSYS Workbench 2022 program. Based on the analysis, it was found that the performance of beam-to-column connections with varying gusset plate lengths was sorted from the lowest, namely rectangular gusset plate connections with a plate length of 600 mm, the haunched gusset plate connection with a length of 550 mm, the haunched gusset plate connection with a length of 600 mm, and the one that has the best performance is the haunched gusset plate connection with a length of 650 mm.
