ANALISIS PRESSURE DROP DAN VISUALISASI ALIRAN PADA PIPA PLEXIGLASS DENGAN VARIASI DIAMETER
Pipes function as a distribution medium from one place to another. In the process of distributing fluids using pipes, there are several problems that will occur, namely pressure drop. The cause of the decrease in pressure in a fluid is caused by several things such as the diameter of the fluid, the friction force of the fluid, and the physical properties of the fluid. Pressure drop occurs due to a decrease in pressure from one point to another caused by friction in the pipe. This research uses experimental methods and data collection using a fluid friction apparatus. The aim of this research is to analyze pressure drops and flow visualization in plexiglass pipe installations with varying diameters of ½ inch and ¾ inch. The results show that the largest pressure drop is found in the ½ inch pipe, namely with a value of 106.662 kPa and a discharge value of 0.00057263 m3/s. The largest Reynolds number value occurs in a ½ inch pipe with a value of 64212.84914 and a velocity value of 4.51856 m2/s. Therefore, the smaller the pipe diameter, the greater the pressure drop and flow fluctuations that occur.
