Research on limestone microfacies studies was carried out in the Tuban Formation, Ngrayong Member, located in the Ngujuran and Surrounding areas, Bancar District, Tuban Regency, East Java. The research area is in the North East Java Basin, Rembang zone. The Tuban Formation of the Ngrayong Member is composed of carbonate rocks, including limestone, sandstone and claystone inserts. The clastic limestone units in the Tuban Formation of the Ngrayong Member were analyzed further with the aim of determining standard microfacies and facies zones. The limestone of the Tuban Formation of the Ngrayong Member is Early Miocene to Middle Miocene in age. The research was carried out using analysis in the form of petrographic, Standard Microfacies Types (SMF) and Facies Zone (FZ). Petrographic analysis was carried out on seven thin-section rock samples. The seven samples were analyzed and classified, then the type of packstone limestone was obtained in the thin section rock samples from research location 1, research location 2, research location 3 and research location 7. Paleontological analysis was also carried out to classify several fossil contents found in the rock samples. Grainstone type limestone was also obtained at research location 4 and research location 6. Based on the results of the limestone classification that had been determined, a correlation was then carried out using the Standard Microfacies Type (SMF) and the microfacies type in SMF-10 and SMF-15 which characterizes the facies zones FZ-7 (Open Marine) and FZ-8 (Restricted).
