STRATEGI PEMERINTAH DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN BRANDING KOTA PALEMBANG SEBAGAI SPORT CITY
Talking about the city of Palembang, we haven't forgotten that in 2018 Palembang became one of the host cities for the ASIAN Games. This is because South Sumatra has an integrated sports area in Jakabaring Sport City (JSC) with international standard vanue facilities that are ready to be used for national and international sports events. In May 2016 through Musrenbangnas, President Joko Widodo declared Palembang as a Sport City. Brand or branding can be interpreted as a brand or label in a product, it is expected that the brand listed is able to influence people's memory of the product. A brand that is already embedded in the memory, will certainly be a positive value for business and industry companies. City branding is an effort of a region in creating brand positioning both at the local level and global level. City branding is an effort to form a regional identity that is useful for publicizing all forms of activities and cultural activities that will be carried out by the region.
