PENGARUH PENYIMPANAN BAHAN DAN PUTARAN PISAU TERHADAP KINERJA ALAT PENGGILING KEONG SISTEM ULIR
This research aims to test the effect of knife rotation and storage of alternative feed ingredients for laying ducks (ducks), in the form of rice snails which are pests for rice farmers. This research was conducted from November 2024 to February 2025 at Kuba Maju Bersama Warehouse, Sako Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. And carried out in the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is a 3 x 2 Factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) with three repetitions. Factor A includes knife rotation speed (A1 = 400 rpm ± 10, A2 = 450 rpm ± 10, and A3 = 500 rpm ± 10), while factor B includes the place and length of storage of the material (conch) (B1 = Indoors for 3 days, and B2 = Outdoors for 3 days). Parameters measured in this study include tool working capacity, grinding efficiency, fuel requirement, and RPM reduction. The results of this study showed that the lowest average tool working capacity ranged from 33.79 kg to the highest average around 79.21 kg. In the milling efficiency parameter, the lowest to highest mean values were obtained ranging from 85% to 93.50%. The level of knife rotation treatment (A) has a significant effect on this parameter. The average value of fuel requirements used in this study ranged from 0.57 L/hour to 1.70 L/hour. And the average value of rpm reduction in this research is in the range of 18.33 rpm to 23.33 rpm.
