Al-Qur’an education is very important in shaping the character of the nation. However, education today is expensive, so not everyone can get quality education facilities. Especially in Lahat District where the number of poor people in Lahat District reaches 67,330 people or 16.81% of the total population in Lahat District, and most of them are constrained by the cost to get quality education, even some drop out of school. Therefore, a redesign of one of the Islamic boarding schools in Lahat District was carried out as a response to this problem, namely Al-Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School in Kota Agung, Lahat District as a solution to facilitate the Ikhwan teenagers in Lahat City to get formal education as well as quality Quranic education without thinking about the cost. The appropriate approach to be applied to building design is eco-architecture which focuses on 4 elements, namely Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind. These 4 elements cover the harmony between humans and their natural environment which can minimize and at the same time be responsive to the negative impacts it has on the ecosystem and earth resources.
