RESPON TANAMAN PAKCOY (Brassica rapa L.) TERHADAP TEH KOMPOS LOTUS DAN TEH KOMPOS SEKAM PADI BERBAGAI VOLUME
Pakchoy plants (Brassica rapa L.) are a type of vegetable plant - vegetables included in the Brassicaceae family. Pakcoy plants have dark green leaves, the roots are taproots, the flowers are pale yellow, and the fruit is a type of pod that is elongated and hollow and the harvest period is quite short around 40-50 days. The plant is cultivated at an altitude of 100-500 meters above sea level. Pakcoy plants are one of the most popular vegetable plants in Indonesia and have high economic and nutritional value. The implementation of this research aims to reveal information about the volume of liquid organic fertilizer lotus compost tea and rice husk compost tea in increasing the growth and yield of pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L.). This research was conducted from May to July 2023 at Pangeran Sido Ing Lautan street, Palembang. The design that will be used in this research is Factorial Randomized Group Design (FRDG) which consists of 2 factors, namely, the source of compost tea and the volume of compost tea administration. The first factor is the source of compost tea (A) which consists of 2 levels, namely A1 = lotus compost tea and A2 = rice husk compost tea. The second factor is the volume of compost tea (V) which consists of 4 levels, namely V1 = volume of compost tea 50 ml/plant/week, V2 = volume of compost tea 100 ml/plant/week, A3 = volume of compost tea 150 ml/plant/week, A4 = volume of compost tea 200 ml/plant/ week. There were 8 treatment combinations, each of which was repeated 3 times and each experimental unit contained 3 plants, resulting in a total of 72 plants. The work methods in this study include making compost tea, preparation of plant media, seed sowing, transplanting, fertilization, plant maintenance, harvesting. In this study, the variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, crown and root fresh weight, crown and root dry weight, leaf greenness, leaf area, and root length. Data were analyzed using (ANNOVA) and if the F test had a significant effect, to see the difference between treatment levels, further tests were carried out using the Smallest Real Difference (SRD) test at the 5% test level. The results showed that each treatment combination of compost tea source and compost tea application volume had no significant effect on the variable number of leaves, plant height, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, root Krieg weight, leaf greenness level, leaf area, and root length but gave a significant effect on the variable number of leaves in week 2 and crown dry weight. The source of rice husk compost tea gave the best results compared to the source of lotus compost tea and the volume of compost tea 150 ml/plant gave the best effect compared to the volume of other compost tea. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is recommended that the cultivation of pakchoy plants can use a source of compost tea made from rice husks and the volume of compost tea 150 ml / plant.
