This research was a normative research with a statutory approach, a conceptual approach and a case approach. The legal materials for the research consist of primary and secondary, using library legal material collection techniques, qualitative research legal material analysis techniques, and inductive conclusion techniques. The results of the study showed the cancellation of Will deed Number 103 dated January 20,1990 was imposed on the consideration that there was an unlawful act as referred to m Article 1365 of the Civil Code (KUHAP) committed by the notary is violating the provisions of Article 875, 944 of the Civil Code and 40 paragraph (2) of the UUIN which caused the will dood to be mall and void by law. Due to their negligence, the notary can be held accountable in civil, administrative, code of ethics, and even criminal cases In order to avoid disputes in the future, legal counseling by a notary is important.
