The family meeting resume becomes the basis for the formation of the will deed, causes the will to contain legal defects. The notary as the official making the will deed has committed an unlawful act as the Supreme Court Decision Number. 1968k/Pd1/2018, the will deed is mull and void. This study aims to determine the judge's considerations regarding the cancellation of the will deed, the notary's responsibility for the will that resulted in a dispute between the beirs, as well as regulations regarding the limitations of authority and the addition of legal substance regarding the notary's responsibility in the future. This research was a normative research with a statutory approach, a conceptual approach and a case approach. The legal materials for the research consist of primary and secondary, using library legal material collection techniques, qualitative research legal material analysis techniques, and inductive conclusion techniques. The results of the study showed the cancellation of Will deed Number 103 dated January 20,1990 was imposed on the consideration that there was an unlawful act as referred to m Article 1365 of the Civil Code (KUHAP) committed by the notary is violating the provisions of Article 875, 944 of the Civil Code and 40 paragraph (2) of the UUIN which caused the will dood to be mall and void by law. Due to their negligence, the notary can be held accountable in civil, administrative, code of ethics, and even criminal cases In order to avoid disputes in the future, legal counseling by a notary is important. This is because the application of of individual law when making a will and the application of inheritance law occurs after death, causing vulnerability to disputes, so that additional substance is needed regarding the notary's responsibility for the contents of the deed, where if the error in the contents of the deed does not come from the notary's negligence or error, then the notary has the power to protect himself Keywords Notary, Cancellation of Will Deed.
