Siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus Raffles, 1821) is one of the primate species found on the island of Sumatra. The existence of siamangs plays an important role in the forest ecosystem as a spreader of plant seeds so that this species is included in the protected animals. Efforts to preserve the siamang population by caring for individual siamangs in controlled conditions with human supervision are known as ex-situ conservation. This research was conducted for one month in July 2024 to August 2024 pre-release, carried out again post-release 25-30 December 2024 and continued 30 January 2025-7 February 2025. The location of this research took place in two locations, namely in the PRSS Punti Kayu socialization cage in Palembang and at the Regional Conservation Resort (RKW) X, SM Isau-Isau, South Sumatra. The results of the study showed that the adult male siamang (Joni) from PRSS rehabilitation showed the ability to adapt in the natural habitat. There was an increase in locomotory behavior and social behavior (play and grooming) after release increasing from 59% to 82% after release. Keywords: Siamang, Conservation, PRSS Punti Kayu and Isau-Isau Wildlife Sanctuary Siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus Raffles, 1821) adalah salah satu spesies primata yang terdapat di Pulau Sumatera.
