ANALISIS FASIES DAN LINGKUNGAN PENGENDAPAN LAPISAN BATUPASIR N1 DAN N2 FORMASI TALANG AKAR, LAPANGAN AG, CEKUNGAN SUMATERA SELATAN
This research was conducted on the Talang Akar Formation located in the South Sumatra Basin. The main focus of the study was the analysis of facies and sedimentation environments in the study area. The purpose of this fascies analysis is to examine more deeply the distribution of facies and the sedimentation environment in the Root Cement Formation from the results of the analysis can be known the distribution of sedimentation facies to help identify the picture of the distribution of rocks that have the potential to become rock reservoirs based on lithology, sediment structure, and composition in the environment. The research area is in the AG Field with layers N1 and N2, which are included in the working area of PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan Zone 4. Regionally, the AG Field is part of the South Sumatra Basin which is known as a hydrocarbon-producing basin. This study involves local stratigraphic analysis, lithological interpretation, facies analysis, and facies distribution modeling to identify sedimentation patterns. The data used in this study included well logs that were interpreted and supported by mudlog data as an initial picture to strengthen the results of log interpretation. Data correlation was carried out to determine the pattern of electrophacies in the AG Field, which was then combined with seismic data to identify developing geological structures. In addition, core data analysis obtained directly from the subsurface drilling process is used to identify facies, textures, sedimentary structures, fossils, as well as ensure the accuracy of geophysical log data through direct reference from rocks. The results of the analysis showed that there are three main types of facies in the study area, namely tidal sand bars, tidal sand flats, and tidal sandsheets, which develop in the estuarine environment. These facies have a distribution pattern from west to east, which is confirmed through 3D modeling of fasies. The modeling shows that the geometry of the facies has an longitudinal orientation from west to east, with the predominance of the distribution of sandstone facies. Geostatistical analysis using the Truncated Gaussian Simulation method supports these results, so it can be concluded that the sedimentation environment in the study area is controlled by the dynamics of the estuarine system that develops in the Root Gutter Formation.
