Background: Preschool children who are sick and hospitalized will experience anxiety or feelings of worry that cause discomfort. One of the efforts that can be done is puzzle play therapy. Objections: To describe the results of pediactric nursing care for children with chronic kidney disease with anxiety problems due to hospitalization, in accordance with the review of evidence-based learning. Method: This study used a descriptive case study approach and Journal review in pediactric patients with chronic kidney disease with anxiety problems due to hospitalization. Results: The results of the study showed that three patients under the management experienced anxiety due to hospitalization and had different levels of anxiety. The three patients experienced three nursing problems, one of which is anxiety. The therapy as the nursing care in this case was administered through distraction therapy of playing puzzles using color classification. This intervention was carried out by asking the patients to group colored puzzle balls and place them in piaces that matched their colors. The therapy was given for 3 consecutive days with an intensity of 10-15 minutes for each session. The results og this accompanying therapy showed a decrease in the anxiety of all three patients under management. Discussion: Distraction therapy playing puzzles using color classification is able to control the intensity of anxiety. The mechanism of performing puzzle play distraction therapy using color classification can provide stimulation such as recognition of shapes, colors and matched it to the corresponding place helped divert their attention from stressful situations, particular in reducing anxiety caused by hospitalization. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of all three managed cases that have been carried out, puzzle play distraction therapy using a color classification can be a companion therapy to help reduce anxiety due to hospitalization.
