ANALISIS STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI PEMERINTAH KOTA PALEMBANG STUDI PADA SOSIALISASI PROGRAM REVITALISASI PASAR 16 ILIR PALEMBANG KEPADA PEDAGANG PASAR
Revitalization of traditional markets is one of the government's efforts to increase market competitiveness and improve facilities for traders and buyers. However, the revitalization process often elicits various responses from traders. This study aims to analyze the communication strategy implemented by the Palembang City Government, especially the Palembang Jaya Market Regional Public Company in the socialization of the 16 Ilir market revitalization program to market traders. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from various relevant sources. This study shows that the communication strategy used includes direct communication by holding an official meeting, namely socialization, this socialization was carried out for 2 hours, the communication used at that time was two-way. However, not only that, when there were still many questions from traders regarding this program, the government tried to carry out socialization continuously. In addition to socialization, there were also appeals or banners. However, there are still several obstacles such as differences in perception between the government and traders, so that the government's expectations for traders to follow the government's direction have not been achieved, and there were even acts of rejection by traders.
