ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN SISA UMUR TRANSFORMATOR 400KVA DAN 250KVA PADA ULP KENTEN UP3 PALEMBANG DENGAN METODE PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
Transformers are vital components in electrical power distribution systems, with a limited service life that is highly influenced by winding temperature, insulation oil quality, and load patterns. This study aims to analyze and compare the remaining life of two distribution transformers with capacities of 400 kVA and 250 kVA at ULP Kenten using the predictive maintenance method. This method adopts a condition-based approach by utilizing actual field data, including temperature measurements, efficiency analysis, and transformer oil quality testing using the Breakdown Voltage (BDV) method. The data analysis shows that the 250 kVA transformer has better oil quality (BDV of 12.2 kV) compared to the 400 kVA transformer (BDV of 5.8 kV). Although the 400 kVA transformer exhibits higher efficiency (99.51%), its higher winding temperature contributes to a faster relative aging rate and greater loss of life. Based on the calculations, the remaining life of the 250 kVA transformer is 9.52 years, while the 400 kVA transformer has only 3.86 years remaining. These results demonstrate that transformer capacity and efficiency do not necessarily ensure a longer lifespan. Instead, operational conditions and insulation quality play a more crucial role. This study offers strategic recommendations for the implementation of predictive maintenance based on real-time data to improve the reliability of distribution systems and the efficiency of transformer maintenance in the field.
