PENGARUH JEMBATAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK ALIRAN SUNGAI SEKANAK PADA RUAS JALAN H. A. RAZAK BASARUDIN SAMPAI DENGAN JALAN DEMANG LEBAR DAUN PALEMBANG
Sekanak River is a famous river in the city of Palembang. On this river there is a bridge that has pillars and there are also no. After the survey was conducted on the sites reviewed, there were 16 bridges that were still used, so research needed to be carried out at that location to determine the effect of the presence of bridges on the characteristics of the Sekanak River flow, using the help of the HEC-RAS program. This study aims to analyze differences in river flow conditions before and after bridges that are modeled with the HEC-RAS program and the effect of bridges on flow characteristics. This study uses the rational method and the HEC-RAS program. From the calculation results show that the Reynold number obtained is 1475888.86 (Re> 1000), the Frounde value is 0.129 and after the bridge the Frounde value is 0.132. In addition, the water level before the bridge has increased by 4.34 m and the flow velocity has decreased by 0.59 m / s, while the water level after the bridge has decreased by 4.24 m and the flow velocity has increased by 0.98 m / s, so that the difference in water level is 0.10 m and the flow velocity formed is 0.39 m / s. This difference causes the flow to be in subcritical and turbulent flow conditions. The existence of bridges, such as bridge pillars can affect the flow characteristics, such as changes in flow patterns and flow to be slow, so that it can cause a narrowing of the river and local scour around the bridge pillars.
