This thesis is entitled "Task Force Section on Law Enforcement in Combating Human Trafficking Crimes in the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (KEMENPPPA) of South Sumatra Province." Human trafficking is a serious issue, including in South Sumatra Province. In efforts to combat this crime, KEMENPPPA has formed a task force section on law enforcement. In this study, the author examines how the task force section implements measures to combat human trafficking crimes and identifies the factors influencing the performance of the law enforcement task force section in combating human trafficking crimes in KEMENPPPA of South Sumatra Province. This research employs empirical research methods, utilizing a case approach and a sociological approach. The findings indicate that the task force section on law enforcement combats human trafficking through socialization, advocacy, and education, covering the roles, duties, functions, and influencing factors such as law enforcement officers, community roles, legal conditions, facility availability, and cultural influences. Additionally, Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of Human Trafficking Crimes serves as the legal basis for addressing human trafficking cases in South Sumatra Province.
