KEBIJAKAN ADVOKASI TERHADAP PEREMPUAN DAN ANAK BERBASIS PERLINDUNGAN KORBAN KEKERASAN KOTA PALEMBANG
Policy advocacy for women and children is a process that can change or improve public policies related to the protection of women and children. This study discusses the Advocacy Policy for Women and Children Based on Protection of Victims of Violence in Palembang City, which is one of the efforts used to protect and improve the welfare of women and children who are victims of violence in Palembang City. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection through interviews, documentation and observation. The results of this study indicate that there are several obstacles faced in the advocacy of policies for protection of violence against women and children in Palembang City, including first, the existence of social stigma in society, where people still think that violence is something that is not worthy of being published, which causes a low number of reporting cases of violence. Second, the low understanding of law enforcement officers regarding the issue of gender-based violence. Third, there is no Mayoral Regulation that regulates protection against violence against women and children themselves. However, although there is no mayoral regulation that specifically regulates the protection of children and women, several efforts have been made by the Palembang City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service to encourage the formation of such regulations.
