KARAKTERISTIK PAVING BLOCK DENGAN SUBSTITUSI ABU BOILER KELAPA SAWIT YANG BERASAL DARI CANGKANG DAN SERAT KELAPA SAWIT
This study aims to test the characteristics of Paving blocks with palm oil boiler ash substitution from palm oil shells and fibers, this study was conducted in October 2024 to April 2025 in Palembang, South Sumatra and for Paving block testing carried out at Sucopindo and the Biosystems Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, this study uses an experimental method to test the effect of palm oil boiler ash substitution on the characteristics of Paving blocks. Experiments were carried out with variations in the percentage of palm oil boiler ash substitution in the mixture. The parameters observed in this study were compressive strength, water absorption, density and visible properties. a. Palm oil boiler ash substitution 10%. Palm oil boiler ash substitution 15% c. 20% palm oil boiler ash. The compressive strength of Paving blocks increases with the addition of the percentage of palm oil boiler ash where the percentage of 10% average compressive strength is 45.04 kg/cm2, the percentage of 15% average compressive strength is 71.45 kg/cm2, and the percentage of 20% with an average compressive strength of 84.93 kg/cm2. The water absorption of Paving blocks decreases with the addition of palm oil boiler ash, Percentage 10% average water absorption is 15.06%, percentage 15% water absorption is 6.45%, and percentage 20% water absorption is 5.35%.
