RANCANG BANGUN GENERATOR MAGNET PERMANEN FLUKS RADIAL SINGLE ROTOR SINGLE STATOR
A radial-type permanent magnet generator (PMG) is an electrical machine that employs permanent magnets as the source of the magnetic field and adopts a radial flux configuration, wherein the magnetic field is oriented radially outward from the rotor shaft. In this configuration, the permanent magnets are mounted on the rotor such that the magnetic flux is directed along the radial axis toward the stator. This study aims to design and conduct a performance analysis of a radial flux permanent magnet generator, with a specific focus on its voltage output characteristics. Voltage regulation was analytically evaluated, resulting in a regulation value of 44.28%. This relatively high regulation value indicates a significant voltage drop between no-load and full-load conditions, highlighting a notable decline in output stability under varying load conditions. Consequently, further optimization and design refinement are necessary to improve the generator’s voltage stability and overall efficiency. Keywords: Radial permanent magnet generator, no-load voltage, full-load voltage, voltage regulation.
