PERAN TANAMAN REFUGIA SEBAGAI TANAMAN ATRAKTAN DI PERKEBUNAN CABAI MERAH (Capsicum annum L.) DI DESA TANJUNG BARU KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
ABSTRACT Red chili plants (Capsicum annum L.) are monoculture cultivation plants that cause little insect presence even though insects are very necessary, red chili plants for pollination and other pest competitors that can increase crop yields. Therefore, research applies refugia plants as attractant plants to increase insect abundance. The study used an Experimental Method with a Complete Random Design (RAL) design consisting of four treatments and five repetitions. Treatment 1 used refugia Celosia plumosa, treatment 2 used Celosia argentea, treatment 3 with Lantana camara, and treatment 4 without refugia as control. Sampling was done using sweep nets, yellow traps, attractant traps, and hand sorting. Data analysis was quantitatively calculated by calculating the Diversity Index (H'), Type Abundance (R), and Equality Index (E) using Excel and statistically with the ANOVA test and the BNT Test. Research results in red chili (Capsicum annum L.) plantations Tanjung Baru Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, found 6 orders of insects consisting of 11 families and 15 species with a total of 1,918 individuals and treatment groups with a significant ANOVA test significance of 0.022 which means that refugia has a significant effect on insect visits in red chili (Capsicum annum L.) plantations.
