ETOS KERJA KARYAWAN PABRIK KERUPUK DAN KEMPLANG 818 DI KECAMATAN SUKARAMI KOTA PALEMBANG
Work ethic is a crucial foundation in maintaining the quality and competitiveness of local food industries, such as the Kerupuk and Kemplang 818 Factory in Sukarami District, Palembang City, which has managed to survive for more than 20 years due to the strong work ethic of its employees. This study aims to identify the forms of employee work ethic and the internal and external factors that influence it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that employees at the Kerupuk and Kemplang 818 Factory exhibit a strong work ethic, reflected in six main indicators: honesty, commitment, discipline, responsibility, social networking, and enthusiasm for work. This work ethic is shaped by internal factors such as religion, length of employment, age, and gender, as well as external factors such as the economy, social environment, and educational background. The conclusion of this study is that the work ethic of employees at the Kerupuk and Kemplang 818 Factory is proven to be strong, demonstrated by the fulfillment of the six main indicators, such as honesty, commitment, discipline, responsibility, social networking, and enthusiasm for work. This work ethic is formed through internal factors including religion, length of employment, age, and gender, and external factors including economic conditions, social environment, and educational background. A high work ethic is key to the success of the Kerupuk and Kemplang 818 Factory in maintaining quality, productivity, and business sustainability in the midst of competition.
