The lack of productivity and contribution from students in the learning process is a major factor contributing to the low level of independent learning. The low level of independence in learning is often caused by the use of an inappropriate teaching model that fails to facilitate students in developing their independent learning skills. This study aims to prove the impact of the Problem-Based Learning model based on Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) on the independent learning of 10th-grade students in Economics at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. This study is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study involves all 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. The sample consists of 35 students from class X.5, selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using hypothesis testing with a paired sample t-test, resulting in a t-value of 20.430 > 1.692, meaning the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model based on Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) has an impact on the independent learning of 10th-grade Economics students at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. Consequently, the use of the Problem-Based Learning model with TPACK is highly recommended to encourage students' independence in learning activities, leading to optimal learning outcomes.
