Background: Constipation in neonates is defined as difficulty or delay in defecation characterized by straining during defecation, hard and large stools, and decreased frequency of defecation. The World Health Organization (WHO) explains that out of 15.264 infants aged 0-6 months who were examined, the percentage of constipation was 17% which occurred in the group of infants who did not receive exclusive breastfeeding. Massage is an activity that provides physical stimulation in the form of gentle touch and massage movements on the neonate's body in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere "I Love You (ILU) massage is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can overcome constipation problems. The ILU massage technique functions to increase blood circulation, stimulate intestinal motility and help the digestion and defecation process. Objective:To describe the implementation of nursing care practices and the application of I Love You (ILU) massage for neonates with constipation problems. Method: This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach involving three neonatal patients with constipation problems. Results: The results of the study showed that 9 nursing problems were found in the three managed patients with the main nursing problem being constipation. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of the I Love You (ILU) massage therapy for 2-3 consecutive days for constipation problems of the three managed patients showed a decrease in constipation as indicated by the results of the Brussels Infant and Toddler Stool Scale (BITSS) assessment. Conclusion: The application of I Love You (ILU) massage therapy as a non-pharmacological therapy has an effect on reducing constipation in neonates. Thus, it can be concluded that I Love You (ILU) massage therapy is effective in reducing constipation in neonatus.
