SISTEM PENDETEKSI PERGERAKAN HEWAN DAN MANUSIA PADA AREA PERKEBUNAN FASILKOM MENGGUNAKAN OPENCV DENGAN ALGORITMA BACKGROUND SUBSTRACTION BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS
Rapid development of technology has an impact in various factor on improving productivity and efficiency, one of which is in the agricultural sector. The available of various types of technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture allows farmers and plantation managers to monitor important factors for the land such as temperature, humidity, and soil conditions in real time or to be used to detect the movement of living things that help farmers to optimize agricultural resources, reduce crop losses from pests, and protect against the threat of land damage. The use of IoT is supported by the use of the Background Subtraction algorithm by implementing the OpenCV library. The testing was conducted in the garden area of the Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The research stages are objects, threshold testing, noise reduction testing, and image analysis. The results of this study were able to detect the movement of living things in the garden and were able to achieve a value of – seconds for the average success rate of detecting objects.
