PENGELOLAAN ARSIP INAKTIF PADA UNIT KEARSIPAN KANTOR WILAYAH BADAN PERTANAHAN NASIONAL PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
This research is based on the existence of problems with the management of inactive archives that are piled up in a special archive storage building and the rediscovery of archives that takes a long time at the BPN Provincial Regional Office. South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to find out the management of inactive archives in the archives unit of the BPN Prov. South Sumatra. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach method. Observation, interviews, and documentation are the data collection techniques in this study. This research refers to the Regulation of the Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2023 concerning Archive Management of the Ministry of State Secretariat, and is supported by the theory of archive management put forward by Ida Nuraida. The results of the study show that the Management of Inactive Archives in the Archives Unit of the Regional Office of BPN Prov. South Sumatra in the dimension of Inactive Archive Storage is not optimal, while maintenance facilities are appropriate but their use is not optimal. The Inactive Archive Borrowing Dimension is good and efficient. The Inactive Archive Shrinkage dimension shows good results. Based on these three dimensions, it can be said that the management of inactive archives in the archives unit of the BPN Provincial Regional Office. South Sumatra has not run well and optimally. Some of the efforts that can be made by the Regional Office of BPN Prov. South Sumatra is increasing the number of archivists, carrying out archive storage and borrowing procedures in accordance with Ministerial Regulations, and implementing archive digitization.
