PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN BERORIENTASI STEM MATERI TRANSFORMASI GEOMETRI KONTEKS OLAHRAGA RENANG UNTUK MELIHAT NILAI FLEXIBILITY SISWA KELAS IX
This research aims to determine student activities in the application of STEM-oriented learning on geometric transformation material in the context of swimming sports to assess students' flexibility values. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and involves ninth-grade students at a junior high school. The learning process follows five stages of the STEM approach, namely Reflection, Research, Discovery, Application, and Communication. The research results show that the STEM approach can actively engage students in learning, allowing them to explore various strategies in solving mathematical problems. Students with high ability (CHL) and medium ability (JLO) show a higher occurrence of the Flexibility value indicator, whereas students with low ability (MRS) can only demonstrate a limited occurrence of the Flexibility value indicator in problem-solving. These findings highlight the need for additional support and innovative strategies to enhance the engagement of low-ability students in developing their Flexibility skills.
