ANALISIS GERAKAN BOIKOT, DIVESTASI DAN SANKSI BAGI PERUSAHAAN MCDONALD'S INDONESIA PADA KONFLIK ISRAEL DAN PALESTINA 2023
This study aims to analyze the impact of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement on the sustainability of McDonald’s, particularly in Indonesia, within the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The BDS movement emerged as a response to the brutal actions carried out by Israel against Palestinians and seeks to end international support for violations of international law. This research employs a qualitative approach using secondary data obtained from various sources, including journals, books, and related reports. This study identifies McDonald’s as a company affiliated with Israel and evaluates the social and economic impacts of the boycott movement on the company. The findings of this research indicate that the BDS movement currently has not had a significant influence on McDonald’s, particularly in Indonesia. However, the moral and social pressures generated have encouraged the company to pay greater attention to social responsibility and contribute to humanitarian issues. Thus, the impact of the BDS movement highlights the importance of corporate responses to social issues in maintaining good relationships with consumers and ensuring business sustainability in markets sensitive to such issues.
